The "capital" of Saint-Barth is a small charming city in a horseshoe shape, built around a broad bay. It shelters many coffees, a pleasant beach (Shell Beach, a few minutes walking) and several historic sites: the town hall, built during the period of Swedish colonization, the church Anglican (1855), the large Swedish clock... You will note that certain streets names around the town hall and the fruits and vegetables market still bear Swedish names (finishing in - gatan). From Gustave fortified castle, where you will note the presence of some guns and a headlight in the shape of bottle, you will have a beautiful sight on the city and the port, and even, by clear weather, to the islands of Saint-Kitts and Saint-Eustatius. Shell Beach. A few years ago before the return of the hurricanes on SB, this beach was covered with shell so its name. Around fifty meter in the back plan of this photography, you can have fun to plunge from different heights. On this beach, a rather sympathetic bar which belongs to the family of a French tennis player reconverted successfully and with talent into the music. If you did not find yet, it is tall, black and won Roland Garros at the beginning of the Eighties. Finally, how do not stop in one of the mythical places of the island, I mean the Select bar. On one hand drink and on the other one the best hamburgers of the world (simply) with chips and mayonnaise.
